For Chef Ora, founder of Cafe 322 Urban Bistro, food is more than nourishment. Her Chicago-based catering, meal prep, and personal chef services is on a mission to make healthy eating delicious, approachable, and empowering, serving meals that are good for the body without compromising on flavor.

Chef Ora’s love of cooking started young. She watched her grandmother cook for the family and, later, stepped into the kitchen herself when her mother became sick and continued as she became a provider while raising children at a young age. Traveling also fueled her passion for feeding people, and she discovered that seeing others enjoy her creations was what truly inspired her.

In 2025, she launched A Taste of Black Excellence, an event designed to highlight other chefs and small food businesses. By curating a platform that spotlights fellow entrepreneurs, she brings attention to talent often overlooked in the competitive food industry. For Chef Ora, lifting others up is a source of joy and community.

Her work has earned recognition, with Café 322 Urban Bistro featured in the news four times last year alone. She credits Sunshine Enterprises for helping her refine the business side of her passion, and after connecting with a coach at a networking event in Oak Park, she joined the Community Business Academy® and later the 90-Day Coaching program. Today, she continues to grow through the NextLevel Exchange Program, gaining tools and mentorship for sustainable growth.

Even as a solopreneur, Chef Ora is expanding her vision. She’s collaborating with other food entrepreneurs, demonstrating how partnerships can open new opportunities and amplify impact.

Through every dish and every event, Café 322 Urban Bistro is proving that one bite can make a difference.
