For Jessica House, founder of Just Dip It Tacos, food is an experience that brings people together. The Chicago-based, woman-owned catering company began with a single menu offering centered around quesabirria tacos but quickly evolved into something much larger: a sensory dining experience designed to engage guests and create memorable moments around the table.

Jessica’s inspiration traces back to watching her grandmother cook in the kitchen, showing her how food could be nourishing, healing, and a powerful way to connect people. What started as a small idea grew into a business that blends culinary creativity with storytelling, inviting people to gather, share meals, and build community.

Beyond catering, Jessica is passionate about expanding access to entrepreneurship. Through speaking engagements and youth-focused workshops, she works with young people in underserved communities across Chicago to introduce them to business ownership and creative career paths. Her goal is to help them see that entrepreneurship can take many forms, not just the traditional image of suits and boardrooms.

Recently, Just Dip It Tacos has gained exciting momentum. Jessica was featured by The Impossible Wish Workshop’s Savvy CEO Magazine, highlighting both her entrepreneurial journey and the growing impact of her business. She also secured a residency with a local brewery, giving customers a consistent place to find her food while expanding the company’s reach.

Jessica credits Sunshine Enterprises with helping her refine the business behind her passion. Without formal culinary or business training, she sought out education and community through the program, gaining the tools and network needed to strengthen and grow her company.

Today, Jessica operates the business with the support of two contractors and plans to continue scaling. As a proud minority-owned business, Just Dip It Tacos is also seeking mission-aligned partners and sponsors to help expand youth workshops and community programming, ensuring the business continues serving both great food and meaningful opportunities.
